Meet your guide by the House of the Black Heads
This is a great starting point for easy access to the Old Town.
Old City Riga
This is the oldest part of Riga, here you’ll see the history – how the city of Riga and nation of Latvians formed during last 8 centuries. The most important medieval churches, merchants’ houses, parts of fortification systems and even last few residential buildings of simple people that have survived from medieval times. You’ll hear stories of how people lived starting from times back when the city was just founded, through centuries up until soviet occupation and the modern life of the independent Latvia. Our guide will be taking you to see some of the most iconic attractions of Riga, including The Three Brothers, House of the Blackheads, The Freedom Monument and much more.
Central Market
This is one of the very few main bazaars of European towns that still functions as an actual grocery market instead of being converted to a tourist trap selling souvenirs. Here you can have a peek in what local people actually shop for. You’ll explore the world of Latvian cuisine by tasting a few traditional things depending on the season and – if you like them – shop for items to bring back home with you. You’ll hear the stories of how and why the largest market of Europe at the time (and still) was built, and how it has managed to survive the otherwise victorious march of supermarket chains.
Panorama Riga Observation Deck
To end the tour, enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the entire city! Among locals, the observation deck is more known as the Latvian academy of Sciences. The building itself holds lots of history, serving as a symbol of the Soviet era, where it was built in honor of the Communist leader Stalin. Nowadays, the building offers more than an education. The tower is 107m tall and never fails to amaze tourists with it’s view. From the tallest point, you’ll be able to see the contrast of different districts in Riga…from the charming Old Town to the wooden Moscow suburbs and everything in-between. If your goal was to see the entire city, now, you sure will be able to say that you have.
Historic Landmarks

Riga's historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997, but even though there's parts of it more than 800 years old, it's still a real, living city.

Fully Narrated Tour

Not only you'll see the sights, but you'll get to hear all the stories about the buildings, parks, monuments and the people behind them.

Hidden gems

Your guide will take you not only to the most important sights, but also to the roads less travelled, places that tour groups don't usually take.
